The Clearcreek Fire District is currently accepting applications for an eligibility list for the position of:

Career Lieutenant (Station/Shift) (2007-2008)

 

Job Description:           Refer to job application and job description sheet for a detailed list of qualifications, duties and responsibilities for a career Clearcreek Fire District Lieutenant.

 

Starting Salary:             $19.25 per hour (non-exempt)

Working Hours:            As designated by the Chief of Department

 

Qualifications:               The successful candidate for the position of Clearcreek Fire District Career Lieutenant shall posses a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, with an Associates degree in Fire Science, Fire Administration preferred or capable of easily and quickly obtained.  Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the fire service as a Fire / EMS provider and demonstrate supervisory and command experience.  Combination fire service experience preferred.  Certification as a (NFPA 1001 Firefighter 2), Ohio Certified Firefighter 2 and Paramedic, ACLS, CPR and experience as a Fire Apparatus Operator / Aerial Tower Operator.  Other requirements include: a valid Ohio drivers license, be in good physical and mental condition.  The Fire District is looking for individual(s) who have a positive attitude, is a sincere team player, possess leadership qualities, and who can accept and handle significant levels of responsibilities.

Selection Process:      The selection process will encompass the following steps:

 

·         Review the application, training records, cover letter and resume

·         Written Fire, Paramedic and Supervisory Examination

(Minimum of 70% on each examination required to continue)

·         Drug / Alcohol Screening

·         Initial Oral Interview

·         Assessment Center (70% minimum requirement to continue)

·         Criminal, Credit, Traffic Background Investigation, and Personal History Evaluation

·         Oral Board Interview (70% minimum requirement to continue)

·         Psychological Evaluation

·         Polygraph Evaluation (Pre-Conditional Offer of Employment)

·         Final Interview

·         Polygraph Evaluation (Post-Conditional Offer of Employment)

·         Physical Examination

 

Several cuts will take place throughout the process
