Bureau Chief Tim Simpson is a 17 year veteran of the fire service, beginning his career as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT with the City of Oxford Ohio Fire Department in 1986. Bureau Chief Tim Simpson worked through the ranks obtaining Paramedic certification, Firefighter Level 2, and Fire Safety Inspector. Bureau Chief Tim Simpson obtained his first career position as a Lieutenant / Firefighter / Paramedic with the Clearcreek Fire District in 1991 after working as both a volunteer and part-time Firefighter/Paramedic. Bureau Chief Tim Simpson was promoted to the position of Captain in 1993, and subsequently to the position of Bureau Chief in 2001.
Bureau Chief Tim Simpson has varied experience in fire service and related fields: Bureau Chief Tim Simpson taught high school biology and sports medicine at Franklin High School for three years and is a certified athletic trainer, served as a Fire and EMS Instructor for the Butler County and Warren County Joint Vocational School Districts as well as the Miami Valley Career Technology Center. Additionally, Bureau Chief Tim Simpson is a part-time Captain with the Paramount’s Kings Island’s Fire Safety / Loss Prevention Department.
Bureau Chief Tim Simpson has a Bachelor of Science Degree – Biological Sciences- Education from Miami University, Oxford Ohio. Bureau Chief Tim Simpson has attended numerous courses at the Ohio Fire Academy in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, the University of Maryland National Staff and Command Course, and has completed the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy, Emmitsburg, Maryland.
