Started in the Fire Service as an Explorer in 1990; began with the Milford Community Fire Department in 1993 as a Firefighter.  Assisted in the start up of the University of Dayton Rescue Squad in 1993 while a Student there and attended EMT school at Miami Valley Vocational School.  Received my Paramedic Certification from Bethesda North Hospital Paramedic Training Program in 1996 and my Professional Firefighter Certification from the Ohio Fire Academy in 1997.  Worked for Union Fire Department from 1995-1998 and Miami Township Clermont County Fire Department from 1998-2000.  Hired into the City of Montgomery Fire Department in 2000 and worked primarily in the Fire Prevention Bureau where I was in charge of the Fire Investigations and Pre-Fire Incident Planning.  While at Montgomery, obtained my Fire Instructor Certificate from Sinclair College and sat on the Fire department training committee as well as the City Training Committee.  During time with Montgomery, served on Hamilton County Arson Task Force and Operations and Logistical officer.    Currently enrolled in Sinclair College with less then a year left for an Associates Degree in Fire Science Administration.  Married to Angela and have two children, Kaitlyn and Christopher.  Currently sit on the Children’s Hospital of Cincinnati Cardiac Board of Directors and volunteer time with both the Cincinnati Children’s Heart Center and the Cincinnati Chapter of the American Heart Association.
