Sergeant Jerold L. Thomes was one of the first Clearcreek Police Officers and had been with the Department since it was formed. Sergeant Thomes died unexpectedly in May of 1998. Sergeant Thomes was responsible for many of the Department programs, most notably, the Citizen's Police Academy. Sergeant Thomes was truly an asset to the Clearcreek Township Police Department and the community.
