CPR Classes

CPR Classes

Because an emergency can occur any time...

It is a known fact that early initiation of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) has proven to increase the survival rate of persons who suffer a cardiac arrest! The Clearcreek Fire District (CCFD) provides training opportunities to residents looking to acquire this life-saving skill. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) classes are available to residents. As a community training center for the American Heart Association, our instructors are available to meet your needs.

CPR classes are held the second Wednesday of each month (excluding major holidays) from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Station 21, 925 S. Main St Springboro Ohio 45066. Class size will be held to a minimum of 4 and limited to a maximum of 12 people.

Our CPR class is not for health care professionals. We offer a basic class for the layperson. The class covers infant, child and adult CPR and A.E.D. training. Advanced registration is required and interested individuals may enroll by contacting the Clearcreek Fire District at 937-748-2766. The class is provided at no cost for residents of Springboro and Clearcreek Township!

Fire and Life Safety Inspections

We care about the citizens and businesses in Springboro and Clearcreek Township! Fire is physically and financially devastating to businesses, and statistics show that over 40% of businesses affected by a significant fire never re-open their doors. The goal of the fire and life safety inspection program is to assist you in making your business a safe place for your customers and employees. We also want to work with you to ensure that if a fire were to occur, damage is limited as much as possible and our firefighters can operate efficiently and safely. Practicing fire prevention and addressing fire hazards is a great investment!

Buildings are inspected on an annual or biennial basis, depending on the type of business operating in the building. Included here for your reference is an informational brochure mailed to each business prior to their inspection. Knox Box

Knox Box Information

The Clearcreek Fire District encourages all local businesses to consider installation of a Knox key box, as required in all new construction. In an emergency situation, timely access to a building can save both lives and property. The Knox box allows the fire district to have access to the building without property damage. For your security, access to the key box is strictly controlled. Each time the master key is accessed by a firefighter, it must be released and logged by the county dispatch center.

The key box is purchased by the owner of the building after completion of the Knox Authorization/Order Form, which can be obtained by contacting the Clearcreek Fire District at (937) 748-2766. Once obtained, the form is completed and sent to the Knox Company with payment by the building owner. The Knox box is then shipped open and unlocked to the owner and installed by the owner or a contractor hired by the owner. The key box should be installed near the main entrance of your building. Upon installation of the key box, the owner contacts the Clearcreek Fire District for placement of master keys into the box.
