Seasonal - Parks/Road

Clearcreek Township is accepting applications for Seasonal Workers in our Road Maintenance/Parks Department. The positions will perform tasks to assist grounds keeping and facility maintenance and any duty assigned to park or road maintenance personnel. Duties include safely operating various motor equipment units necessary for departmental operations including trucks, large mowers, tractors and utility vehicles; shoveling gravel, dirt, mulch and asphalt; using a variety of power and hand tools including weed-eaters, hedge trimmers, chainsaws; maintaining buildings, restrooms, grounds and equipment by sweeping, picking-up, washing, waxing or painting; mowing grass, trimming plants, trees, shrubs and flowers; handling dead animals and applying weed control measures; removing trash and debris from the Township’s parks and cemeteries; performing clearing and maintenance of park trails; applying pesticides with supervision; providing flagging and traffic control for Road Maintenance Department projects when necessary; maintaining Township cemeteries; performing drainage work where applicable; and completing other duties as assigned.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have completed high school or its equivalent.  Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

$11.00 per hour

Career Firefighter

The Clearcreek Fire District is a progressive and growing fire protection district located between Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio.  The Fire District is accepting applications for an eligibility list for the position of Career Firefighter/EMT or Career Firefighter/Paramedic. 

All applicants are subject to the selection process.  To be considered, applicants shall have a valid Ohio driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, Ohio EMT or Paramedic, and Level II Firefighter by time of final consideration.  Fire Safety Inspector Certification is desirable and the ability to operate under the Greater Miami Valley EMS Protocol as an EMT or Paramedic must be obtained within one year of appointment.  Starting annual salary is $56,238.49 for EMTs or $62,992.16 for Paramedics plus excellent benefits. 2019 top out pay for Firefighter / Paramedics is $79,245.15.

Successful candidates will be subject to written testing (3/16, 9:00 a.m.), physical agility testing (4/2 or 4/3, 8:00 a.m.), oral interview (4/17), final interview (mid-May), psychological evaluation, polygraph examination, in conjunction with an extensive personal history evaluation and medical examination to include drug testing.  Several cuts may occur during the process.  You will be advised if you are continuing in each step.  Each step (date) will be confirmed as we progress and scheduled dates and times are subject to change.
