Clearcreek Township is excited today to announce the launch of their new website, at our home domain, http://www.clearcreektownship.com/
The website redesign had been months in the making, and involved the input of dozens of Board and staff members. A committee of employees representing all six Township departments was assembled to offer input – Administration, Fire/EMS, Parks, Police, Roads, and Zoning – and met together six times over the course of four months to provide ideas, content, editing, testing, and training for the redesign.
The product of the months of work and dozens of staff hours was to create an intuitive, easy to manipulate tool to allow for citizens to access the information they need. The idea was to create a ‘horizontal site,’ where visitors could drill down to a destination in three or less clicks.
The new website is considerably more modern appearing, with colorful, rotating photographs on many of the site’s pages, complete with convenient, hover-over kick-out menus. The homepage prominently features a sliding picture bar just underneath the navigation bar, with photograph tiles organized by department underneath the slider. When hovering over the department tiles, the titles will become bolder in color, and rise slightly from their seated position.
Near the bottom of the homepage are two convenient, new features – a Calendar of Events, and a News & Announcements blog. Never before has the Township’s website been better organized or more photograph driven. Every detail, from the color palette to the text font and size has been rethought. The redesign comes with a mobile site for easy wireless viewing on both tablets and phones.
