Clearcreek Township Police Encourage Homecoming Safety

Clearcreek Township, OH. – It’s Homecoming season for local high school students. The Clearcreek Township Police Department wishes students a safe and happy homecoming, and cautions them about the dangers and legal consequences of underage drinking. "Homecoming season is a time for celebration, but please be safe and make smart choices," said Chief John Terrill. "Remember: it is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to possess or consume alcohol, and NEVER drink alcohol and drive, or accept a ride with someone who has been drinking." To help make homecoming season safer, the Clearcreek Township Division of Police will have extra patrols out enforcing traffic laws during homecoming season. These extra patrols are paid for with funds from the High Visibility Enforcement Overtime grant that the Division participates in. The goal of the H.V.E.O. grant is to make township roadways safer for our residents and visitors. Questions about the High Visibility Enforcement Overtime grant or Clearcreek Township’s Traffic Safety goals can be directed to Sgt. Wally Stacy at 937-748-1267.
