Duke Energy / AES Aggregation Update
Dynegy Energy Services East, the township’s approved electric aggregation supplier, recently undertook a system upgrade that unfortunately automatically generated letters to customers in BOTH Duke and AES territories in the township. The letters incorrectly indicate that our aggregation customers were sent back to their default, retail utility (Duke or AES). This is NOT ACCURATE!
Rest assured, despite the erroneous letters, if customers were on the Township’s Electric Aggregation Plans, they’re still on it until the contract expires in May 2025. There is NOTHING customers need to do except make certain their next bill reflects the correct supplier (Dynegy) and rate for generation, depending upon service territory (Duke at $0.0686/kWh and AES at $0.08499/kWh).
