Press Release November 4, 2013

Extra Patrols
Clearcreek Township, OH.

Clearcreek Township had extra traffic patrols out during Halloween week (October 25th through November 1st). The extra patrols were a part of the Police Division’s effort to make Township roads safer for residents and visitors. Recently Clearcreek Township was awarded funding from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office to participate in their High Visibility Enforcement Overtime Grant. As a result, Clearcreek officers spent an additional 24 hours enforcing traffic laws while residents participated in Halloween parties and beggars night. Officers issued six additional citations and made one felony drug arrest due to the additional patrols. The next traffic blitz period will occur during the Thanksgiving holiday from November 22nd through December 1st. Questions about the High Visibility Enforcement Overtime grant or Clearcreek Township’s Traffic Safety goals can be directed to Sgt. Wally Stacy at 937-748-1267.
