Fatal Car Crash - N. SR741
Clearcreek Township, OH. – At 6:23 a.m. Clearcreek Township Police officers investigated a single vehicle traffic crash in the 4700 block of North Sate Route 741. Shaun A. Frechette had been driving a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria northbound on State Route 741 when he ran off the right hand side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. Frechette, a 17 year old Springboro High School student, was apparently on his way to school when he ran off the roadway for reasons unknown. Clearcreek Township Police and Fire/EMS units tended to Frechette’s injuries but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Springboro School’s Superintendent Todd Petrey, as well as School Resource Officer Sgt. Don Wilson were notified so that the schools could prepare their crisis response personnel. The crash investigation is ongoing. The Clearcreek Township Police would request that anyone who may have witnessed this crash would contact the investigating officers at 937-748-1267.
