Major I-75 Project Begins July 6

Starting the week of July 6, major work begins on the War/Mot I-75 Rehabilitation & Lane Addition project!

 

Here is what you need to know to plan your commute:

 

Expect nightly closures on northbound I-75 between Lyons Road and Pennyroyal Road as crews prepare the shoulders.

 

Once shoulder work is done, northbound traffic will shift to the far right lanes. This allows crews to safely install barrier walls and temporary inside pavement, which southbound traffic will switch to in Spring 2027.

 

This project will completely rehabilitate I-75 in both directions and add a new lane between I-675 and Pennyroyal Road.

Completion is expected to be complete in the fall 2029.
