Post St. Patrick's Day

Clearcreek Township, OH. – Clearcreek Township had extra traffic patrols out on St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th). The extra patrols were a part of the Police Division’s effort to make Township roads safer for residents and visitors.  Recently Clearcreek Township was awarded funding from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services to participate in their High Visibility Enforcement Overtime Grant. As a result, Clearcreek officers spent an additional eight hours on St. Patrick’s Day enforcing traffic laws. The extra patrol hours resulted in an additional citation that day. There were two fatal traffic crashes in Clearcreek Township in the week leading up to St. Patrick’s Day. These tragedies are a somber reminder of the importance of safe driving. Clearcreek Township Police will continue, throughout this year, to have extra patrols to remind motorists of that very thing. The next traffic blitz period will occur during the high school prom season in April. Questions about the High Visibility Enforcement Overtime grant or Clearcreek Township’s Traffic Safety goals can be directed to Sgt. Wally Stacy at 937-748-1267.
