Post Thanksgiving

Clearcreek Township, OH. – Clearcreek Township had extra traffic patrols out during the Thanksgiving holiday (November 16th through 25st). The extra patrols were a part of the Police Division’s effort to make Township roads safer for residents and visitors.  Recently, Clearcreek Township was awarded funding from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services to participate in their High Visibility Enforcement Overtime Grant. As a result, Clearcreek officers spent an additional 32 hours enforcing traffic laws while residents enjoyed time with family around their traditional Thanksgiving feasts. The holiday week also included the days following Thanksgiving which include the busiest shopping days of the year. Clearcreek Township officers were out in force to encourage safe driving during this time. Officers issued 26 additional citations during the period. The next traffic blitz period will occur during the Christmas/New Year’s holiday period from December 7th through January 2nd. Questions about the High Visibility Enforcement Overtime grant or Clearcreek Township’s Traffic Safety goals can be directed to Sgt. Wally Stacy at 937-748-1267.
