Zoning Commission Members

The Clearcreek Township Zoning Commission is composed of five full members and two alternate members. Members must be residents of the unincorporated area of the township. The Clearcreek Township Board of Trustees appoints members. Full members are appointed for a term of five years. Alternate members are appointed for a term up to two years. Appointments to the Zoning Commission occur during the month of March, during which time one full member and one alternate member will be appointed or re-appointed.

Great! Please prepare a letter of interest (tell us about yourself, what you bring to the appointment, what you hope to do or learn during the appointment).  Send the letter of interest to Jeff Palmer, Director of Planning & Zoning (jpalmer@clearcreektownwship.com) for initial review for completeness. Based upon current vacancies and yearly appointment cycles Mr. Palmer will forward the letter to the Board of Trustees for consideration. Mr. Palmer will follow up with you regarding any future steps in the process and/or the outcome of your request for consideration.

The following are required minimums for consideration: 1. You must be at least 18 years old. 2. You must be a current resident of unincorporated Clearcreek Township. 

The following minimums have helped lead to Commissioner success in providing this vital role for the Township: 1. Willingness to attend regularly scheduled meetings (Monthly as needed First Monday of the month (moves to Second Monday if calendar conflict with a holiday) at 7 PM. Typically 1-2 hours in duration). 2. Willingness to completely review orientation packet. 3. Willingness to attend on-going training opportunities. 4. Willingness to put in necessary time prior to each public meeting to review the materials provided. 5. Willingness to ask questions during a public hearing. 6. Willingness to discuss your thoughts on the request in a public meeting. 7. Willingness to work as a team.
