Update on the Status of Electronic Zoning Submissions (Updated August 29, 2025):
The Zoning Department is excited to announce we have partnered with GovWell to provide our planning & zoning services. This platform will be used for all planning & zoning applications, plan review and inspection requests for contractors and the general public.
Starting September 1, 2025, please use the GovWell portal to submit Zoning Permit Requests, Board of Zoning Appeals Application Requests, Zoning Commission Application Requests. You can also submit Zoning Complaints through the same portal.
To start using the GovWell system you will need to register your customer profile (contact information and email address) and then you can start submitting information electronically.
Through the GovWell Portal, you will be able to use the online features to fill out an application, submit required documentation, get feedback on plan reviews, pay fees and receive a copy of the approved permit.
If you have issues setting up your profile or navigating the GovWell portal, there is a chat feature to help with the transition.
If you desire to have permits processed in person, please contact me and I can add your information into the system.
